Yay! I can upload camera photos again! Two years ago my friend told me about this hotel in Cape Cod that has a wave pool and water slide. We went two years ago and the kids had a blast. We did it again this year with our friends the Stones and their three kids. Definitely even better with friends. We swam and ate, put kids to bed then played games. The next morning we swam some more, then went home. It is a nice little break from the norm. my photos are funky from the steamy air fogging up my lens. Doesn't it look fun?
On the home front, we are counting down to a big trip to Florida to visit my dad and Ruth who now live there during the winter. We will make a stop to visit the happiest place on earth of course. In prep, though, we are getting the kids to do all their chores so we have a sparkling home when we leave. It's amazing what you can get a kid to do when Disney World is on the line!
This what Charlie does when I cook. (For a few minutes)

what? how did i not know of this indoor swim area when we went to cape cod. looks like a total blast! and i'm glad i'm not the only mom who uses rewards as bribes. (i.e disneyland.) hey, if it makes them clean that's awesome! i'm always like, "if you don't take your nap, i'm not going to take you to the zoo later..." "if you don't drink your mild you're not getting any bed time stories..." :) dan always teases me. but bribing the kid seems to work.
ha ha i meant milk, not mild:)
holy FUN!
such a nice thing to do in these cold winters of ours. . . wonder if the Buff offers such fun?
probably NOT! tee hee!
man. . . now i want to swim!
the kids looked so cute in their swimming suits!
(Presley's is ADORABLE! i just love little girls' swim suits!)
have a blast in Florida!
very jealous.
very, very, VERY jealous!
p.s. you guys should NOT miss the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. . . Donald's Philharmagic show. . . Mount Everest Expedition (sans kiddos! except for maybe Noah? he might be tall enough. . . though. . . it's SPOOKY!). . . Finding Nemo Musical Show (amazing!!!). . . and if you ride the Mission Space ride. . . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take heed to their warnings! they are NOT for nothing! Pace and i went on it. . . the "fast" way. . . they have two ways to ride. . . "mild" experience and the "extreme" experience. . . well. . . we rode the "extreme" way and were sick for TWO days from it! you hit G Force. really. it was no fun. just made us SO SICK! we had to sit outside of the ride. . . right outside of the ride and get our "balance" back so we wouldn't vomit! then when we found all the grandparents watching the kids we had to sit for another half hour (at least) before we could walk back to the hotel. it was INTENSE. so, if you don't do well on rides that spin round and round. . . Mission Space is not for you! ;)
also. . . make SURE to make eating reservations if you don't want to eat from food stands the whole time!
we didn't know that. . . and ended up eating burgers and fries the whole time.
so, make sure to make some reservations for restaurants inside the parks. . . i think it's called "Disney Dining" or something. . . so look that up and get that going. . . JUST in case you want to eat in a "sit" down environment. . . i.e. not HOT DOGS! ha!
