October

October is the BEST time of year to come to Boston! The weather is pleasant, the colors are gorgeous, the Red Sox are thriving, and there is lots to do. I think this is part of the reason we are getting so many fun visitors. We have friends coming up for the day on Saturday and my dad coming to town for the Columbus Day holiday. No school, yeah! We just had some old friends in town on business and it was really nice to see them. Nate and Catharine came with Claire and Elizabeth. We tried to ride the swan boats in the Boston Public Gardens, but they were closed for the season!

Catharine and I took the kids to the Museum of Science where this incredibly patient worker helped Claire and Presley unearth "fossils" and tape them together. Seriously, letting 3 year old help you tape things is one of the most excrusiating experiences! We also tried to take the girl to a noisy electric demo and they freaked out and all three screamed their way out of the theater!!

Presely and I headed through Harvard yard today where I took a bunch of fall pics of her. Then we went to the farmers market and picked out some pumpkins to decorate our house with. I love October.
