R & R

Charlie and Presley on the hammock in Rhode Island at Mike and Ruth's

Josh has finished up his classes at Harvard and just works in the lab on his research. His boss in the lab expects him to work 70 hours per week. Huh? Did I hear that correctly? We are planning a much needed three week escape to Utah in July. I think one of the things I am the most looking forward to is spending time with everyone, not worrying about the frivolous details of house work and meal prep. Nothing makes me cringe more than telling the kids I can't play right now because I have to finish the dishes. Okay there are things that make me cringe more thn that, but you know what I mean!

Summer is COMING!

I think my kids love the summer just as much as I do. There is something about a warm sunny day and the prospect of spending said day playing in the water. Last week (before everyone came down with strep throat) PK, Charlie and I met up with Noah's kindergarten class for a hot day at the Harvard sprinklers. Presley was especially giddy about the whole thing. We are counting down the days till summer. School for Noah isn't out till June 18th. It won't be long till we're blasting "Surfin' USA" in the car, headed to the beach with all the windows down.

make your own polaroids here {thanks for the tip Karli!}

Joy School

We are wrapping up Presley's first year of preschool called "joy school". There are three kids in the group. They are all such great kids. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful bunch! (we moms trade off teaching these guys twice a week.) More to come on this. For now I am prepping my last lesson plans till the fall. Yippee for summer!

Luau Love

Our Relief Society (Women's group) from church set up a cheering station for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk for a cure. Presley, Charlie and I went while Josh and Noah were at t-ball. Our theme was Luau Love. It was so fun to see all the walkers and support them. You could tell the walkers appreciated our support and they especially loved the enthusiastic cheers of the little ones.

Presley LOVES to cheer for stuff!

Charlie finally got to wear his hawaiian surfer shirt.

here are some of the walkers

This is my friend Heather who put the whole thing together. Her hubby just got a job offer in Hawaii coincidentally. I'll miss their awesome family.

Even cars got decked out!

Here is a blurry shot of one of the walkers! You don't see that everyday!!

Proud to be a Plant

I have been blessed to have super creative artistic sisters in the Berry Family. When I got married and became a Plant, I joined the ranks of a group of cousins in the Plant family that are all oozing with artistic creativity. I have to send a shout out to Josh's Cousin, Pace's wife (you following me?) Karli. She was a guest Designer for Danielle Thompson at Kitschy digitals. Check out how cool. Way to go Karli!

Eyes

Charlie has such beautiful eyes.
They are blue with green in the center. I think the green might mean that they will eventuakly be completely green. That's what happened to Noah. For now I will just gaze into these beauties!

Because I need to just get a post out already, jeez!

First off I have to say that Charlie has reached the ten month mark! I can't believe that first birthday is just around the corner! He is walking along furniture now and getting brave enough to let go for a half a second. He lately has been under the weather. Perfect timing with the SWINE FLU media craziness. It turns out he is cutting his 8th tooth, but also has a nasty cough to go along with it. I got some wonderful looks in the market the other day when Charlie let out his big cough. As a parent, I just LOVE concerned strangers don't you?

Charlie is babbling more and more. I think I heard him say dog, but I'm not sure. He is really into dogs now, though. He wants to get right up in their faces and touch them. Makes me a tad nervous! He also loves playing with balls. We roll a ball to him on the floor and he catches it in his legs. It's real cute. He loves the swings at the park and has been really into playing in the sand.
Noah just started tee ball. We have been so busy with everything. Josh and I were so proud of ourselves that we got Noah into this tee ball thing, though. So far Noah's pretty excited about it.

Yesterday Josh visited Noah's classroom and brought in some frog eggs. He taught the kids about frogs and tadpoles. Noah was beaming. He got to give the intro for his dad's presentation. {Note: he is getting into the habit of putting his shirt in his mouth again! Ah man!}

Here is Lynne, the TA holding Charlie in the back. That classroom is so welcoming to our whole family. I'll miss it next year.

And SPRING has finally sprung in Cambridge. It is gorgeous here. I think the only reason we don't get as many tourists this time of year as we do in the fall is because we get quite a bit of rain. It is so lovely here, though.

My kids do cute things. Maybe the snore symphony thing is more embarrassing, but I think it's cute. Noah woke the whole house up the other night and all three kiddos wond up in our bed. I woke up to Noah snoring in Charlie's face!

I was trying to get a cute shot of Noah and Charlie playing on the floor, but wound up capturing one of Presley's famous afternoon melt downs!

There we go!
